I've been wondering about RSS feeds since the speaker at the district kick-off a couple years ago had great things to say about this tool. I tried Newsgator and Google Reader. Google Reader seemed easier to me. I added weather, the Basilica Block Party website, and a couple blogs from people in our 23 Things class. As I use Google Reader over the next few days, I'll play around with the formats to see which one I like best. I think this'll speed up the things I check on a regular basis. It should also be a good way to get ideas for this class from other people's blogs. I wonder how much I'll add.

Yes, we can still be friends. To answer your question, you don't need NetNewsWire to use Newsgator. However, the NNW program for Mac is SO simple and it keeps you from having to access any pages (newsgator or google reader) online. If you use GoogleReader, I will no longer teach with you. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYikes! That's harsh, Wally!
ReplyDeletePersonally, I like Netvibes for aggregating, as evidenced by the 23 Things tab. It's nice to have so many options! ;-)
